BRIEF: For the 3rd year running 48in48 has hosted the hackathon to end all hackathons. Over 200 designers, developers, copywriters, and other concerned citizens gather to build 48 websites for 48 deserving nonprofits over the course of a single weekend. Talk about ambition.

BOTTOM LINE: This year we introduced an abbreviated design sprint methodology that allowed our team of 6 co-workers to build 2 award-winning websites in just under 48 hours. 

Sprint or Marathon? Both, Actually.

We used a design sprint methodology to keep the team on track and working lightning fast. We relied heavily on caffeine, carbs, and power-naps to keep us focused for the long haul.
